MonTango News

We're 15 years old!

In April 2008, MonTango held its official opening milonga. On April 21, 2023, we held a packed milonga to celebrate our 15th anniversary. Over the years in between, we've held over a thousand milongas and taught many thousands of classes. We've been through some tough times over the years, had a lot of great times and learned a lot – about teaching, about business and about people. We've also created a community here in NDG and at our studio, which is an important part of the bigger Montreal tango community as well as the global one. Thank you to all the students, dancers, friends and teachers who've passed through our doors over the years … and here's to many more years of dancing tango in NDG!

LA PRÁCTICA PRIMEROS PASOS
Every Thursday 8-10 p.m.
Beginner-intermediate dancers welcome!
$10/person; $5 MonTango students
Free for Tango 1 students

LA MILONGA CONNEXION TANGO
Every Friday 9 p.m.-12:30 a.m. (or later)
Drop-in class 8:15-9 p.m.
Milonga only: $15 ($18 non-members*)
Class + milonga: $20 ($23 non-members*)

LA MILONGA CAFÉ DOMINGO
Every Sunday 2:30-6 p.m.
$15 ($18 non-members*)

*Membership with Connexion Tango gives you a discount on entrance to MonTango's Friday and Sunday milongas. Membership costs $30/year and includes one free entrance. We highly recommend purchasing a membership, which pays for itself if you attend just five milongas in the course of a year. (Note that current MonTango students pay the member price.)
