About MonTango
MonTango was founded in 2007 and we officially opened the doors of our studio in 2008. Located in N.D.G., we are the only Argentine tango school in the city's west end.
Over the years we have built a reputation for having a warm and friendly atmosphere as well as a great musical selection at our milongas, and an excellent team of instructors who are at once expert and approachable.

Tanguerafest 2025
The 9th edition of Tanguerafest, the festival that marks International Women's Day by celebrating the women of tango, will take place from March 20-23, 2025. Featuring guest dancers Julia Gorin and Lautaro Cancela, the festival will include workshops, dance and music performances, and the Saturday night Tanguerafest Ball at the magnificent Paradoxe Theatre.
Boutique
We have a physical boutique in which we carry a selection of tango shoes for women and men. In women's shoes we have a variety of practice and dress shoes with lower heel heights.
We also have elegant T-shirts and a small selection of women's clothes, including dresses, skirts and knitted boleros to keep your shoulders warm between tandas. Come see us!
25 Tango Lessons
by Andrea Shepherd
illustrated by Juan C. Raggo
Andrea discovered Argentine tango in her 20s. Over the next decades it gradually changed – and in many ways became – her life. Just about everything in tango is a microcosm of life at large, and just about everything we learn on the dance floor is a life lesson as well. This book is a collection of some of the most interesting and valuable things this passionate and complex dance has taught Andrea over the years she has been practising and teaching it.
